My violin/piano lessons are 30 minutes each and occur once a week.  I incorporate music theory and practicum with each lesson. To me, it is important to teach not only how to play the violin or piano, but to also have a solid general understanding of music. Being educated in note reading, music terminology, rhythmic competence, music expressions, etc. will stay with the student no matter where life leads them.

 

Beginning my study of the violin at age 8, and the study of the piano at age 10; I am very passionate about both the violin and piano! Also, even before i began my double major in both music and child development, I began honing my private teaching skills.

  My music experience is extensive, playing the violin for 35+ years. I have played in many symphonies and held the principal second violin position and Concert Mistress position. I have been a private music teacher since 1987. In addition to my music experience, I have been a preschool teacher for over 25 years. I can teach virtually all levels of the violin, and beginners on the piano.
